This Week’s News

The weather will be lovely for tomorrow’s market and we have a great lineup!  Wild for Salmon is back from Alaska with this year’s catch.  We have a special treat tomorrow.  Hill Creek Farm will be bringing 3 types of garlic.  Dorene Pasekoff, is a passionate garlic grower and seed saver.  Stop by to chat with her.

It’s the Third Saturday of the month when we pay special attention to health.  Phoenixville Hospital will conduct free blood pressure screenings and they’ll have other educational materials.

We are so happy to have Christine & Co. perform on stage from 10am to 1pm.  Her upbeat music is sure to put a smile on your face.

We have some sad news to share.  Many longtime shoppers at the market may remember Kate Ramoth, of Kate’s Kitchen Garden, who brought lovely herbs to the market in our early days.  She gave up the market to spend more time with her daughter on Saturdays, but she kept her hand in farming and worked at a farm in Coatesville.  We are sad to say that Kate passed away this week as a result of a Desmoid Tumor.  The market is going to make a contribution to the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation.  We will also be accepting donations and our market table and will have a card. We’d love to have any shoppers who remember Kate to sign the card.  She was a wonderful person.
