Backyard Bison

Backyard Bison is a small, unconventional farm where we use common-sense practices to naturally produce good food that is good for you. Our American Plains Buffalo are ranch raised with care here on our farm in Upper Bucks County in Pennsylvania. Our herd is on pasture as much as possible and we do not use hormones, steroids, or antibiotics with our bison. We also do not use pesticides or herbicides on our pastures. We mix our own feed to ensure quality, and we never feed any waste products, animal by-products, urea, or Rabon to our bison. more »

Dave and Rosemary Baues have been beekeeping since 1999. The honey they harvest is raw – they only strain it to remove the wax. The Baues come to market with honey and beeswax products including lip balm, body lotion, hand cream and 100% beeswax candles. more »

Birchrun Hills Farm

Birchrun Hills Farm is a family owned dairy farm in the highlands of Birchrunville, Chester County. Sue Miller and her family handcraft raw milk cheese from the milk of their Holstein cows. We feature Birchrun Blue, a raw milk natural rind semi-soft cheese that is rich and creamy with delicate blue flavors; and Highland Alpine, a raw milk washed rind traditional mountain-style cheese that features nuttiness combined with a hint of sharpness. more »

Charlestown Cooperative Farm

Sue and Andrea grow vegetables, flowers, and herbs in Charlestown Township. Using compost and green manures, Charlestown Farm employs farming practices that nourish the land and produce healthy produce bearing no chemical pesticides or herbicides. more »

Mitchell Program

Flowers and herbs grown by court adjudicated young men who care for the garden and animals at St. Gabriel’s Hall in Audubon. The objective of the Mitchell Program is to reduce further involvement of youth in the juvenile justice system. To help youth be accountable for their actions, develop victim empathy and take greater responsibility for the quality of life in their community. To develop measurable competencies that help youth to become more responsible and productive members of their communities. more »

Mountain View Poultry

Barb Shelly brings organic poultry, sausages, broths, chilis and eggs to market. Her chickens and turkeys are raised in an open pasture without the use of antibiotics or any other chemicals. North Star Orchard

Ike and Lisa Kerschner grow high quality fruit that is normally not available commercially. They grow 50+ varieties of modern and heritage apples, seven types of Asian pears, 30+ kinds of peaches, and 30+ varieties of plums, as well as European pears, nectarines and cherries. Aaron Esch brings peaches and apples to the market at the peak of freshness and flavor. He also brings fresh apple cider, plums, berries, canned pickles, preserves, and pies. Quarryville Orchard will be at the market every Saturday beginning in August. more »

Shellbark Hollow Farm

Peter Demchur started Shellbark Hollow Farm ten years ago with just two goats he received as a Father’s Day gift. As his herd grew, so did his hobby of cheese making, leading to the birth of the farm. Shellbark Hollow Farm is a family-operated business in Chester County, PA where our herd of Nubian goats are fed a special dies which helps produce a high quality milk.

We offer a variety of goat milk products including fresh chevre, sharp chevre I and II, eight flavored chevre spreads, yogurt, kefir, ricotta, honey biscuits and milk.

Soap by Pat

Soap by Pat sells handcrafted soap, lotion, and lip balm using quality ingredients such as olive and other vegetable oils, shea butter, botanicals (locally grown when possible), and either essential oils or scents. Soaps include jewelweed for poison ivy, goat’s milk for sensitive skin, and soap made with beer. Varieties include lavender, mint, rosemary, tea tree, lemongrass, orange-ginger and more. Stargazers Vineyard

Stargazers Vineyard and Winery are owned and operated by Alice and John Weygandt. The vinifera vineyard, planted in 1979, is located just north of Unionville, in Newlin Township, Chester County, PA. The winery was built into the hillside in 1996. Following the European model of growing, the grapes are grown and made into wine by the owners of the vineyard. Stargazers uses Integrated Pest Management and sustainable practices in the vineyard and the winery. more »

Sweetwater Baking Co.

Saul Schwartz started Sweetwater as a small, family-owned bakery making cinnamon rolls, biscotti, and leavened bread in a wood fired brick oven. They use only the best organic ingredients and strive to make products of the highest quality, both in taste and nutrition. more »

Lori Policastro and her family make artisan breads and an assortment of freshly baked goods using wholesome ingredients. They also plan to sell vegetarian lunch items, soups, and heat and serve dinners. Whole Hearted Baking Co. will be at the market every Saturday. more »
