John Costello
John plays finger picking blues and spirituals, slide, bottleneck, and solo harmonica in the country blues vain from the 1920’s to current. His influences are Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt, Rev Wilkins, Lightnin Hopkins and countless others. John says, “I just enjoy playing this stuff and getting the word out…”
He typically brings three guitars for his solo act: his Martin, Metal Body Dobro, and National Style O plus harps for solo playing.
