What a great day we had at the market on January 9th- thanks to all of the loyal shoppers and excellent farmers!  We know that the lines were long this week, so the farmers will have extra scales and pre-bagged items next time to help speed things up a bit.  It was so nice to see neighbors and friends enjoying the fresh crisp air as they chatted and bought their food.

The next Winter Market will be on January 23rd, from 10am to 11am and many of our regular farmers will bring their usual selection of great food.  In addition, Forks Farm will join us with grass-finished beef and Wild For Salmon will bring a variety of their great salmon products!  You might wonder how can salmon be locally produced?  Local fishermen, Jenn and Steve Kurian, spend their summers catching salmon in Alaska and they ship it back.  You can see pictures of their boat at their website.
