We are at the height of the summer harvest and fruits and summer vegetables abound.  Why not take advantage of the summer bounty and try your hand at canning or freezing?  You will be well rewarded when you long for local produce come winter.  To help you in your preserving endeavors, we will have information and equipment on display at the market tent this week- be sure to stop by.  In keeping with the preserving theme, this week’s recipe is for canned salsa.  You can find lots of great canning recipes at: http://foodsafety.psu.edu/canningguide.html.
