Longview Center for Agriculture

Longview Center for Agriculture is a partnership between Greener Partners and Drew and Melissa Smith of Willow Creek Orchards.

Willow Creek Orchards is a family farm located in central Montgomery County, Worcester Township, Pennsylvania. Our land has been a working farm since 1754 when German Schwenkfelder settler Anna Wagner came to this farm with her three children. Our land has rich agricultural history and has been farmed for grain crops, it was a well-known potato farm throughout the early part of the 20th century, transitioned to a dairy farm, and cropped to field corn prior to our arrival in 2002.

We, Drew and Melissa Smith, live and work on the farm with our daughters. We transitioned our 138 acres of farmland over a three year period to become a USDA Certified Organic farm, effective September of 2004. We take great care of our land using ecologically sound practices, without synthetic chemicals.

In 2011, we decided to stop farming the land ourselves and lease the farm to Greener Partners to form Longview Center for Agriculture.  The farm will continue, but it will also serve as an educational center.
