Dolly’s Dish
She’s back! Dolores Winston, proprietor of Dolly’s Dish, has made her triumphant return to the Phoenixville culinary scene. Many of you longtime residents remember Dolly’s Dish, the north side eatery that featured Dolly’s Custard Sweet Potato Pie.
It’s the same winning dish she’s been serving to appreciative foodies since the 80’s. But what’s new to the venture is her apprentice, Carlas Rich, her 14 year-old grandson. He’s learning the family business from the bottom up. When he finishes college, it’s all his. Now that, is a gift from grandmom!
Currently, the pies which come in 3″, 6″, 8″, and 10″ sizes and range in price from $3.00 to $11.00 are available at our farmers market, and through special order only. You may be tempted to start with the personal size, but as my spouse has learned, it’s so good — you should get enough to share!
Dolores Winston, Phoenixville local will be bringing her famous custard sweet potato pies to the market. They come in 3″ and 6″ mini pies and 8″ and 10″ large pies. Dolly’s Dish will also be having a contest to give away a pies throughout the season! Dolly’s pies are perfectly spiced and over the top delicious.
