What a difference a week makes- tomorrow’s weather looks like it will be sunny and unseasonably warm- perfect for a trip to the farmers’ market.  Don’t forget to talk to to our providers about pre-ordering for Thanksgiving — especially turkeys and baked goods!The provider list at right is accurate as of 1pm on Friday.

Last week, Liz (farmers’ market co-coordinator) spent a week in Italy at Terra Madre an international Slow Food gathering of food producers, activists and chefs.  All across the world, people are working together to create food systems that are clean to the environment, good to the taste, and fair to the farmers and consumers.  Happily, our own Phoenixville Farmers’ Market is part of this important and growing movement.  You can read more about Terra Madre at http://www.terramadre.info/This week’s recipe is for a Zuppa di Verdure, Italian Vegetable soup, that Liz sampled in Italy.
