July 4th
Come start your 4th of July at the farmers’ market!!! The farmers and producers will be here with lots of delicious items for holiday celebrations. We’ll have local meats and portabello mushrooms for the grill, new potatoes for potato salad, cabbage for coleslaw, lots of other vegetables and a limited selection of berries for holiday desserts, not to mention delicious baked goods and cheese and coffee. Joe Willson will play some patriotic favorites, and you can try your hand at writing with a quill pen just as the signers of the Declaration of Independence did. We’ll also have a raffle for $10 in market dollars. All you have to do to enter is answer this question: (yes, you can use the Internet to help) Name a signer of the Declaration of Independence who was a farmer from Pennsylvania. By the way, this person was the only signer whose sole occupation was a farmer, and he hailed from Chester County!
